HIGHLIGHTS
History & Story
Kontiki Expeditions started out from Carlos Nuñez’s love for the sea and his adventurous idea to travel the world aboard a catamaran while having it chartered commercially during its downtime. He found two yachts, they were operating in the Galapagos Islands in the past and his entrepreneurial instinct quickly kicked in with the thought to have them sailing along the Ecuadorian coast, where there are no cruising activities of this sort.
After approximately one year of marketing and industry research and structuring a touristic operation, Kontiki Expeditions became the first luxury boutique cruise to sail the Ecuadorian coast. Was conceived as a provider of authentic experiences in seldom visited rural locations offering all the comfort of a luxury voyage aboard a small yacht.
Dta renovation & extensions
Certain areas of the yacht are being refitted, in addition, the cabins are being redesigned by Soledad Calderon.
