Anantara, the purveyor of immersive hospitality, launched its first safari tented camp – Anantara Tented Camp Kafue River – opening in June 2026. Poised 3.5m above the banks of the Kafue River, one of Zambia’s most vital waterways, the luxury tented camp connects guests directly to Kafue National Park, Zambia’s largest and oldest reserve, drawing them into a vast, protected wilderness where wildlife roams across untouched terrain. Anantara Tented Camp Kafue River embodies exclusivity, with just ten villas and three Horizon Terrace Suites all linked by meandering lantern‑lit paths and oriented for sweeping views of the river and surrounding bush.

The Kafue River is the longest river entirely within Zambia, stretching about 1000 kilometres. It runs through the Kafue National Park, which is one of Africa’s largest wildlife reserves.
Kafue National Park is part of the largest transboundary conservation expanse in the world: the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area. Kafue National Park covers an extensive 22,400 km2 area in western Zambia. Proclaimed in 1950, it is Zambia’s oldest national park. Manged by African Parks since 2022.
