Mr. Romeo, the new General Manager of D Maris Bay, brings over 30 years of luxury hospitality experience. Born in Italy and raised in France, he has held senior roles at esteemed brands like Rosewood, Ritz-Carlton, and Shangri-La across Europe, Asia, and the USA. Notable achievements include leading Rosewood Beijing to success and establishing The Ritz-Carlton Chengdu as a luxury benchmark. A graduate of Institut Paul Bocuse and Cornell University, Mr. Romeo began his career as a chef, working with renowned chefs Alain Ducasse and Joel Robuchon. His expertise spans hotel operations, with a strong passion for food and beverage excellence.

History & Story
The construction for the original building began in 1988 and was named ‘Kartal’ meaning eagle due to its eagle eyes view of the bay from above. It was later operated under Robinson Club and Select Maris before being purchased and renovated as D Maris Bay between 2010 to 2012 by Doğuş Group. The epitome of luxury, D Maris Bay is a modernist retreat flooded with sunlight up against granite and marble interiors. In the rooms, floor-to-ceiling windows over mesmerizing sea views from marble bathtubs. The interiors are modern, smart, bright, and airy – while the stylish architecture rises to meet the challenge of the location’s natural splendor. The finest materials, careful details and sophisticated amenities are combined to create a perfect retreat. The resort has 196 spacious luxurious rooms including 35 suites, a duplex presidential suite, and an exclusive villa. With 6 different beach experiences, local and global dining alternatives and unique wellness journeys, D Maris Bay is not just a destination for global jetsetters but an anchoring spot for yacht and boat owners alike.
