Hotel General Manager
Emre Ulguner has been working as a senior executive in hospitality internationally since 2007 and in 2017 joined Voyage, Maxx Royal’s sister company where he led the Food Beverage Operation. In 2018 he took on the role of General Manager of Maxx Royal Kemer. Emre has been a driving force in leading Maxx Royal Kemer to be one of Turkey’s most sustainable hotels and one of the top 25 resorts in Europe. Following his success at Kemer, Emre was assigned as GM at Maxx Royal Bodrum in 2025.

History & Story
Nestled on a secluded bay along the northern shores of the Bodrum peninsula, Maxx Royal Bodrum made its debut in May 2024. This design-forward resort is a sophisticated addition to Bodrum’s chic beach scene, offering a premier destination experience defined by exceptional gastronomy, cutting-edge wellness, inspiring art and cultural programmes, and thrilling family adventures. The resort also introduced the first outpost of Scorpios—the iconic bohemian beach concept originally founded on the island of Mykonos. With its personalised service, sustainable nature-inspired design, serene all-suite and private villa accommodations, Maxx Royal Bodrum redefines luxury and sets a new standard for contemporary seaside living.

Designed by leading Turkish architect, Mahmut Anlar, to blend seamlessly with the natural surrounds and beautifully landscaped gardens, the 11.4 hectare resort offers a variety of accommodation options including multiple suites and villas. Taking inspiration from the vibrant identity of Bodrum, interior designers Geo_ID use a serene and natural colour palate throughout, incorporating interesting architectural details and patterns across the property. Rooms and public areas feature local artisan-crafted ceramics and artworks. The resort also features exclusively commissioned artwork from high profile collaborations with leading artists, including internationally-recognized maestro, Bernar Venet and Turkish artist Refik Anadol.
