Craig Storkey is the Area Lodge Manager. Craig will take responsibility for Rwanda and is the custodian of the One&Only Nature Resort experience in Rwanda. As the Area Lodge Manager Craig will oversee the operations of both One&Only Gorilla Nest and One&Only Nyungwe House whose resort manager is Jacques Le Roux.
During his tenure at Sun International, Craig and his team received various awards and accolades such as several mentions on Travel & Leisure and the annual Travel Awards.

History & Story
Cushioned in the foothills of the breath-taking Virunga volcano range, One&Only Gorilla’s Nest makes the magical possible as you enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime, personal encounter with the rare and majestic mountain gorilla, roaming free in its own natural habitat.
Guests will be welcomed by an impactful view of the Main Lodge, up the volcano stone drive complete with traditional Rwandan welcome and signature One&Only Gorilla’s Nest drink.
The resort has 21 guest lodges and suites – 14 guest rooms (king), -2 4Bedroom Forest Lodges and seven one-bedroom suites, including two super suites. Modern in design, yet with traditional Rwandan influences, each overlooks the vast African terrain with private decks and in-room fireplace.

Restaurants & Bars
One&Only Gorilla’s Nest will have one main restaurant, The Nest (ability to welcome over 128 guests; indoor 52; 76 outside) with the ability to welcome non-resort guests. The Nest will focus on local, organic food; breakfast with semi-buffet (that is hidden); room temperature items on display, interactive fresh, juice-making station. Hot food cooked to order—high level of freshness and quality; reduction of food wastage.
Lunch/afternoon tea/dinner: local use of products and menus are based on seasonal elements (as much as possible), use of local farmers—based on European/ Mediterranean celebrating Rwanda. Daily special to showcase the bespoke experience. The Nest also offers a samovar with a wide tea selection as well as another coffee bar. Large terrace with fireplace. A private dining room 22/20.
The Nest Bar: traditional cocktails with a modern twist incorporating rose water and eucalyptus (as it surrounds the resort). Wine selection—semi-visual wine fridge with a majority of South African wines but offers global choices. Chef’s Garden: will not be ready on opening; the resort will potentially develop a greenhouse (DO NOT REFERENCE). In-room dining will also be served from this dining lodge (not included).
There is another bar at the pool at the One&Only Spa focusing on the healthy options with fresh juices evolving into evening cocktails.
The Boma will be themed and will be a pop-up (not daily experience) another location to enjoy tales from the day.

Another building will offer the relaxation room complete with an open-air (partially covered) plunge pool that is surrounded by the eucalyptus tree forest, fitness centre, steam and sauna, male and female change rooms, Pool and Pool Bar.
