History & Story
The development of the Park Hyatt Marrakech resort initially began in 2009. However, the construction came to a halt for several years due to a change in ownership. In 2019, the project resumed, leading to its grand opening on July 1, 2024. This resort holds the distinction of being the first Park Hyatt in Morocco and the second in Africa, following Zanzibar. Uniquely situated about 9 miles (15 kilometers) from Marrakech’s historic Medina district, the 19-acre (7.5-hectare) resort boasts an exquisite, off-the-beaten-path location at the base of the Atlas Mountains. Enveloped by lush palm trees, olive trees, and jacaranda trees, Park Hyatt Marrakech is adjacent to the stunning Al Maaden Golf resort, providing guests with exclusive access to the 18-hole course. The resort features 130 rooms and suites, elegantly distributed across 16 pavilions, offering a luxurious and tranquil escape for its guests.
