With a career spanning over three decades in luxury hospitality and private clubs, Binda brings a wealth of expertise to The Ned. His career includes serving as general manager at London’s The Connaught, and hotel manager at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Shanghai in China. He also spent time as chief executive officer at Les Bordes Estate in France.
Binda has made significant contributions during his tenure at establishments including the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam, and 18 years of hands-on operational experience with Mandarin Oriental Hotel group in six different countries. Fluent in English, French, Italian, and German, his linguistic skills complement his multifaceted experience across different cultures and markets.

History & Story
How It All Began
The Ned originated in the former Midland Bank headquarters in London, designed by Sir Edwin ‘Ned’ Lutyens in 1924.
The opening of The Ned London in 2017 was ambitious, with the transformation taking five years. Today, the property has 250 bedrooms, 10 restaurants, 17 bars and grooming services.
There’s also the members-only Ned’s Club, which gives access to a rooftop pool, gym, spa, hammam and late-night lounge bar created in the original vault of the bank.
The Ned Doha
Originally designed by acclaimed Lebanese architect William Sednaoui in the 1960s, the building now features members’ spaces, 90 bedrooms and suites, and seven restaurants and lounges, along with a health club, spa, gym, and private event spaces.
In partnership with renowned architect David Chipperfield, the building was remodelled with the goal of retaining the structure of the old Ministry of Interior building.
The Ned Doha is set over five floors with interiors by Soho House Design. The team used The Ned London as their inspiration to create a ground-floor atrium with a live performance stage at its heart, surrounded by restaurants and lounges.
Outside, a lush oasis-in-the-city garden has been made, with water features, space for contemporary sculptures and a concrete pergola to provide sun-dappled shade.

Positioned in the corners of the original building, our one-bedroom Palace View Suites have an additional living / dining area. Located to make the most of the Arabian Sea, Doha Palace and city views, these well-proportioned rooms have two floor-to-ceiling glass walls and double aspect balconies.
• Corniche Suite (87-104 sqm):
Our Corniche Suites have a well-appointed separate lounge with a sofa, coffee table and dining for four. An emperor bed with a fan shaped headboard, a walk-in wardrobe as well as two balconies with views of the Arabian Gulf and the city beyond.
• Park View Suite (91-107 sqm):
These generous 91-107 square metre Park View Suites have double aspect balconies with sunset views over Al Bidda Park. With a dining table for up to six guests, a well-stocked drinks cabinet and large sofa area these suites are suited for entertaining.
• Two Bedroom Corniche View Suite (185 sqm):
This two-bedroom Suite is located on the corner of the original building with views over Al Bidda Park, down the Corniche to West Bay in the distance and the Arabian Sea. There is a dining area for up to six, three balconies and two emperor beds making these 185 square metre suites ideal for those requiring more space.
