Having held several leadership positions with Crown Hotels over the past decade, he currently serves as the General Manager for Crown Towers Sydney where he led the hotel through pre-opening and now the ongoing operations. Chris’ expertise extends beyond Crown Hotels as he also held management roles with Sofitel Hotels & Resorts both here in Australia and in New Zealand.

History & Story
Construction commenced on Crown Towers Sydney in October 2016 and the hotel opened in December 2020. Standing as Sydney’s tallest building at 275m high, Crown Towers has been designed not just to frame the views of the city’s icons, but to stand alongside them as defining landmarks.
Inspired by nature, award-winning architects, WilkinsonEyre, created a sculpture reminiscent of three petals twisting together towards the sky. Prestigious New York City based interior design firm, Meyer Davis, derived inspiration from the stunning surrounds of Sydney Harbour and created thoughtful touches effortlessly integrating Crown’s signature luxury with Sydney’s coastal landscape.

Crown Towers Sydney is a sculpture reminiscent of three petals twisting together towards the sky.
The curved geometric concept which creates unique floors and views at each level.
The façade is comprised of over 8,000 glass panels, individually cut and unique in size.
A key centerpiece of the property is the Oculus. Designed and created by leading glass manufacturer Preciosa, the Oculus is a modern interpretation of a chandelier, climbing five floors in height from the lobby and consisting of 396 crystal clad blades.
Marble and stone are a key feature within the property with over 50 different types hand selected by Meyer Davis designers including Vanilla Onyx and Lilac Marble, to Kenya Black and Belvedere sourced from Italy, Greece, Turkey and China.
