Shifaz Hassan, who has been the Resort Manager of JOALI Maldives since March 2022, has been named Enver’s successor as General Manager. With over a decade of dedicated service to the hospitality industry of the Maldives, Shifaz has played a vital role in JOALI Maldives since its inception. In 2018, he joined the resort as a Front Office Manager and was promoted to Rooms Divisions Manager in 2020, eventually becoming the Resort Manager.
With his keen eye for detail and expertise, Shifaz brings a wealth of experience in the guest services and rooms division. He has a deep understanding of hospitality in the Maldives and has worked with guests and hosts from all cultures and nationalities. As a leader, he is dedicated to providing exceptional service and curating memories for the guests at the resort.

Japanese restaurant in Maldives; Saoke Restaurant designed by world-renowned Japanese restaurant architect Noriyoshi Muramatsu. Astonishing ocean views frame this floating garden, which serves delectable Japanese cuisine.
Revealing a captivating spectrum of flavours – some familiar, some unexpected – the menu ranges from traditional sushi, sashimi and tempura to charcoal grilled robata and ceremonial dishes. Guests can enlighten their palates with classical specialities as well as contemporary creations that uncover the essence of Japan. The menu also recommends pairing sakes, carefully selected by the Sommelier, to elevate each exquisite creation.

JOALI resides on the picture perfect Muravandhoo island in the Raa Atoll located in the northern Maldives. One of the largest and deepest atolls in the world, it is home to a myriad of sea life. Guests can expect brilliant blue waters and pristine white-sand beaches fringed by gently swaying coconut palms.
Designed as a luxurious art immersive island retreat, JOALI Maldives focuses on sustainable glamour. A destination brimming with experiential pieces; simply follow an art map around the resort for an immersive and interactive tour.
Arrival
On arrival guests will be welcomed into the private JOALI airport lounge at the Male Airport. Transfer is by a 40-minute seaplane journey.
Available upon request, the JOALI private seaplane allows guests to avoid waiting time and effortlessly skip the crowds with a private, direct flight, reflecting the luxury part of the JOALI experience. The seaplane is scheduled for 8 guests, allowing comfort and ease with a joyful touch. Additional offerings for each guests include a VIP welcome along with complimentary refreshments and the opportunity to freshen up in the private seaplane lounge.

Muramas children’s club is available on the island. For children from 4 – 12 from 10am to 6pm daily. Muramas has a kids pool, indoor and outdoor play areas and activities. Babysitter service is chargeable and available upon request.
