History & Story
On a private motu, in the heart of one of the most pristine atolls in French Polynesia, Le Tikehau by Pearl Resorts opens onto a turquoise lagoon encircled by a ring of coral. The softness of pink sand beaches, the endless shades of blue in the lagoon, the quiet presence of coconut trees and a discreet architecture blend seamlessly into its surroundings.
The spirit of the place is reflected in its simplicity and its deep connection to Polynesia, its traditions, and the surrounding ocean. Life here follows the rhythm of the atoll, in a peaceful atmosphere where nature sets the pace and invites you to slow down.
Date Renewal
In 2024, Le Tikehau undertook a comprehensive renovation of its overwater bungalows and common areas. Accommodations were refreshed from floor to ceiling with new wall coverings, refinished flooring and wood accents, and entirely new living room and bedroom furniture. Modern comforts were introduced throughout, including air conditioning in every category, WiFi. Bathrooms also received attention, with new sinks, faucets and shower fittings.
Outside, bungalows were fitted with traditional pandanus roofs, renovated siding, refinished bamboo, and fully restructured decks and sundecks with new joists and handrails.
In the common areas, the restaurant Poreho was enhanced with bay windows and new tiling, bringing in more light and a fresher atmosphere. The buffet area was extended, the Kaina bar relocated, and the pool interior refreshed with new floor paint and decorative glass tile on its interior wall.

Location
Located in the Motu Tianoa in the Tuamotu Archipelago, Tikehau is accessible via a short flight from Tahiti, followed by a brief boat transfer. This remote yet reachable setting offers a true escape into untouched Polynesia.

The lagoon, considered one of the richest in marine life in the region, is ideal for snorkeling and diving. Guests can explore nearby motu, enjoy private picnics, discover the famous Bird Island, or take part in cultural workshops and sunset cruises.
