History & Story
Park Hyatt Sydney is an iconic luxury hotel situated on the very edge of Sydney Harbour, offering magical views of the Opera House and Sydney Harbour. The hotel first opened its doors in 1990 and has since become a benchmark of luxury in Australia. It has undergone several renovations and enhancements over the years to maintain its reputation as one of the world’s most exceptional luxury hotels.
Date Renovation
Park Hyatt Sydney completed a significant renovation in 2012 with the hotel closing for 12 months to complete the extensive scope of work. The redesign, spearheaded by Australian designers Bar Studio covered all areas of the property including the addition of a new fourth floor, featuring three specialty suites. No part of the hotel was left untouched with all guestrooms completely transformed, along with the restaurant, bar, the hotel’s spa, event venues and public areas.
In March 2022, further enhancements were completed with a soft refurbishment of all guestrooms.
