Raffles Udaipur marks the iconic brand’s debut in India, set on a secluded island in the serene Udai Sagar Lake and framed by the timeless Aravalli hills. A breathtaking destination, it brings together regal heritage and contemporary elegance in an immersive setting where every detail is thoughtfully considered.
The resort now offers 137 rooms and suites across two distinctive estates—101 on its private island, and 36 newly introduced at Raffles Lakeshore Udaipur. Each space is designed to offer sweeping lake views and a deep sense of place.
Guests begin their journey at Raffles Lakeshore Udaipur, a serene arrival experience defined by colonial charm, manicured lawns, and intuitive service. From here, a gentle boat ride across the lake sets the tone for what lies ahead—an evocative transition into stillness, beauty, and quiet luxury.
On the island, a contemporary palace rises gracefully from lush greenery. Inspired by Rajasthan’s architectural traditions and Mughal garden design, its domes, carved jaalis, and intricate stonework pay homage to India’s royal legacy. Interiors layered with local artistry and modern refinement create an atmosphere of understated splendour.
Rooted in nature and reverence, the island is home to over 100 bird species through the year. Meandering pathways through native flora encourage exploration and moments of calm. The Raffles Spa offers bespoke rituals, open-air yoga, and guided meditation—drawing on regional healing wisdom and a deep respect for the land.
Two distinct pool experiences await: a lakeside infinity-edge pool that appears to merge with the horizon, and a tranquil open-air pool on the island, edged with private cabanas beneath open skies.

Date Renovation/Restoration
Raffles Udaipur is a newly built property, officially opened in August 2021. The resort was not renovated or restored, but rather purposefully designed from the ground up to reflect the architectural grace of Rajasthan’s palaces and gardens. The design was led by a team of renowned Indian architects and designers with a focus on elegance, craftsmanship, and cultural integrity.
Date added extensions
Raffles Udaipur unveiled a significant expansion with the opening of Raffles Lakeshore Udaipur on 1st March 2025. This new wing introduced 36 elegantly designed rooms and suites, increasing the resort’s total inventory from 101 to 137 keys. Situated along the serene edge of Udai Sagar Lake, the Lakeshore wing offers uninterrupted views, enhanced privacy, and a refined sense of space. Seamlessly integrated into the resort’s architectural narrative, it elevates the guest experience while staying true to the timeless elegance and heritage-inspired design of Raffles Udaipur.
