History & Story
Rosewood Sanya is the first Mainland Chinese resort of the ultra-luxury Rosewood Hotels & Resorts® and maintains its signature A Sense of Place philosophy, through the resort’s innovative and unique design. Throughout the resort, guests will experience aspects of wood, tribal totems and aquatic elements which create an elegant and contemporary space, celebrating the natural beauty of the surrounding environment, for Rosewood guests to discover on the paradise island of Sanya.
The interior design of the resort, is designed by Hong Kong-based AB concept. The design concept centers around the traditions of the local tribes in a contemporary expression to welcome and inspire Rosewood guests. Connecting indoor and outdoor spaces offers guests unobstructed views of the South China sea, and elevates guests to appreciating this tropical island. The resort’s lush surroundings are crafted by the acclaimed Bangkok-based P Landscape.

Located in Haitang Bay, Sanya on Hainan Island, the ultra-luxurious Rosewood Sanya opened in the summer of 2017 as the first resort in China for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.
