• State Opera: The 1,709-seats renaissance revival venue was the first major building on the Vienna ring road. It plays hosts to different Operas, concerts, ballets as well as the most famous ball in the world, thee « Opernball ».

Fun Facts
During the monarchy the main entrance was being used by monarch and his horse carriages. The horses stopped right in the middle of the lobby: the monarch went to the left, whilst his staff used the rooms and palais to the right. The carriage left at the back entrance. When entering the hotel, you’ll notice a registration plate on the top left. It gives a glimpse of the historical official registration of this building from the 18th century.
