In November 2024, the hotel hosted Sophia Loren’s 90th birthday on its iconic rooftop terrace, celebrating the legendary actress in a place she has loved for decades.
For the occasion, the Presidential Suite, where she always preferred to stay during her visits in Rome, was officially named “The Sophia Loren Suite” in her honour.
• Part of the hotel was once a papal granary commissioned in 1705 by Pope Clement XI, today seamlessly integrated into the property’s architecture
• Piazza della Repubblica, which the hotel overlooks, was designed to mirror the exact semicircular shape of the ancient Roman exedra, creating one of the most scenographic squares in the city.
