History & Story
Belmond is preserving a London legend, sensitively restoring five 1800s Queen Anne-style buildings, unique to the Chelsea borough of London. Notable connection with two icons of the stage, Oscar Wilde and Lillie Langtry. The restaurant space features original Prince of Wales feather detailing, a cheeky nod to the Prince who was associated with Lillie Langtry, a former resident of the hotel.
In February 2019, The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel, London opened following a multi-million-pound historic renovation. A stylish retreat in the heart of Chelsea, the interiors reflect modern British style with a contemporary feel, drawing inspiration from the hotel’s original features.
