Ca’ di Dio
History & Story
The fascinating history of this palace began in 1272 and over the years it has lived different lives, without ever losing its true soul: from accommodation for pilgrims passing through on their way to the Holy Land, it became a place that welcomed women in difficulty who were left alone. In 1544, the famous Jacopo Sansovino started a complete renovation of the structure. The vocation of profound hospitality finds its maximum expression in the restoration and redevelopment that transforms the ancient « house » into the new hotel that encompasses charm and history, celebrating the city that has hosted it since its origins.
In early 2019, Alpitour Group acquired the Ca’ di Dio, entrusting the entire interior design project and art direction to the firm of internationally renowned architect and designer Patricia Urquiola. The hotel opened in August 2021.
