History & Story
Perfectly maintained, graced by a collection of majestic old trees and set against an impressive mountain backdrop. As one of the oldest golf courses in Switzerland, it has been inspiring pros and amateurs alike since 1905. The high standard of care and the beauty of the course are enthusing even golf professionals including the 50 plus professionals of the Legends Tour, who make a yearly appearance at the spa resort. Convince yourself and discover the golf course in its most beautiful variety. Embedded in the breathtaking mountain scenery of the Rhine Valley, the course impresses by a harmonious symbiosis of golf and nature. The course, which has been established in 1905, offers a challenge of a special kind for every type of golfer with a length of 5’707 meters (slope 129, course rating 70,0).
Main Facilities
Two Golf Courses: • Golf Club Bad Ragaz: Nestled in spectacularly picturesque parkland between two mountain massifs, the 18-hole Championship Course offers everything a golfer could possibly want. The course annually hosts the Swiss Seniors Open and has hosted in 2016 the very successful Sergio Garcia & Friends charity event with 20 of the best golfers in the world.
• Golf Club Heidiland: The 9-hole Executive Course serves members and guests a challenge for beginners and advanced golfers. The breathtaking views around the golf course promise an unforgettable round of golf. At the academy, guests can learn to play and improve their golf at a modern facility with top notch equipment.
• Golf Pros: The Golf Club Bad Ragaz has two long-term Golf Pros, one of them was awarded the “Golf Digest’s Best International Teachers” (top 75) award in 2021. The Golf Club Heidiland, where the Academy is located, offers a separate Golf Professional.
• Restaurant gladys: The restaurant gladys radiates modern elegance by a perfect combination of wood and stone. Awarded with 13 GaultMillau points, it impresses not only with its stylish interior, but also with a spacious sun terrace which invites guests to linger after a successful round of golf. The restaurant gladys has been voted to the “best golf restaurant” in Switzerland at the Swiss Golf Awards 2018, 2020 and 2021.
