Development strategy
In 1972 Loro Parque was founded in Puerto de la Cruz, a reserve for species and subspecies of parrots of the world. Almost five decades later, Loro Parque Fundación was born. Hotel Botanico & The Oriental Spa Garden was acquired by the group in 1995, and has become one of the most renowned luxury hotels in the Canary Islands, and a member of The Leading Hotels of the World. In 2008, the company created Siam Park, the best water park in the world. In 2015, the Group launched Brunelli’s Steakhouse, the best steakhouse on this side of the Atlantic, followed in 2017 by Poema del Mar aquarium in Gran Canaria.
Starting in late May, 2025, Hotel Botánico & The Oriental Spa Garden will close for two months to undergo a meticulous renovation of its rooms and suites, F&B outlets, and a spectacular transformation of The Oriental Spa Garden.
