Flashes of modernity abound, from the sleek metal accents in the light fixtures to the bold pops of colour in the sumptuous textiles. The mosaics and pampering Irene Forte Skincare products in the spacious bathrooms, meanwhile, speak to the suites’ refined, luxurious spirit.
Terrace Suite (45 sqm + 45 sqm Terrace): Step through the wide glass doors of our Terrace Suite, flanked by floor-to-ceiling bookshelves laden with classic tomes and decorative accents, onto the smooth wooden decking of your own private terrace.
Signature Suite (from 75 sqm): Serene and stylish, our three Signature Suites offer contemporary style and high-end features that truly live up to the suites’ top floor location. Bathed in light from the large glass doors that lead out onto a private terrace with views of either Französische Strasse or the grand St Hedwig’s Cathedral, the colour scheme is seductively calm, revelling in shades of cream and stone.
Gutman Deluxe Suite (62 sqm): Named for the bank manager who once called this lavish oak and mahogany space his office, our Gutmann Deluxe Suite is exquisitely decorated. From the warm gleam of the parquet floors to the leather-clad doors and wood panelling, numerous distinctive heritage features have been preserved, including nicks from WWII shrapnel damage.
Behren Deluxe Suite (63 sqm): Our sumptuous Behren Deluxe Suite has been lavishly yet considerately decorated to preserve its original heritage features, from the parquet floors to the suite’s wraparound mahogany panelling. Opulent leather-clad doors separate the bedroom, with its sumptuous king-sized bed, from the stylish sitting area. Furnished with a modern, high-backed sofa, comfortable armchairs, and contemporary art prints, the suite is perfect for entertaining.
Historic Banker Suite (85 sqm): Our Historic Banker Suite, once the palatial conference room of the 19th century Dresdner Bank, harmonises remarkable heritage features with modern sophistication. Classically-inspired lamps and photography lend the space the aura of antiquity, while the bold use of colour in the luxurious textiles adds contemporary grace. The original oak panelling in the luxurious sitting room extends throughout the extraordinary space, wrapping around the walls and up to the soaringly high ceiling, while the authentic parquet floor has been preserved underfoot.
Humboldt Suite (90 sqm): Our stately Humboldt Historic Suite conveys a sense of landmark opulence. From the original 19th century oak ceiling, dating back to the year the Dresden Bank was built, to the grand marble bathroom, with a generous freestanding bathtub, natural light, and views out over historic Bebelplatz, it blends palatial heritage with contemporary luxury.
Royal Bebel Suite (200 sqm and 450 sqm with connecting rooms): Designed in the style of a lavish turn-of-the-century Berlin apartment, our Royal Bebel Suite is the foremost suite at Hotel De Rome. From chic Julian Chichester and La Fibule furniture, to lush Le Lievre fabrics and Porta Romana lighting, the space has been meticulously arranged. Bright, bold colours are wielded with finesse and style throughout, interweaving elegantly with antique furnishings and statement objets d’art.
