HOTEL FEATURES
Accommodation
The hotel offers 58 rooms and suites, including the Signature Suite, which has 66 square metres, ornate ceilings and views of the Largo — all the units include exclusive Vista Alegre porcelain. The Montebelo Vista Alegre Lisboa Chiado stands out for the uniqueness of its themed wings, each honouring a historical and artistic aspect. In the rooms of the wing that faces Rua do Alecrim, the decorative leitmotif is plants — rosemary is depicted in various stages of growth and accompanied by animals. The wing facing Largo do Barão de Quintela, the hotel’s main façade, celebrates history. Here, the pieces illustrate notable episodes experienced by the building. The wing bordering Rua das Flores explores the floral theme. These flowers are accompanied by birds and insects, creating a natural environment that celebrates the symbiotic link between flora and fauna.
Restaurants & Bars
Ponja Nikkei, the restaurant at Montebelo Vista Alegre Lisboa Chiado Hotel, offers different experiences throughout the day. At lunch, the menu is more executive, with typical Portuguese dishes, ideal for those looking for a practical and tasty meal. In the evening, the space is transformed into a celebration of Nikkei haute cuisine, with a fusion of Peruvian essence and Japanese technical perfection. Originally created in Madrid, the restaurant brings the traditional ‘Nikkei’ concept of Peruvian cuisine to Lisbon, reflecting the country’s history and cultural influences. This culinary style dates back to the Japanese migrations at the end of the 19th century, when emigrants arrived in South America and began to adopt local traditions while applying Japanese techniques to food preparation. The result is a unique combination that delights the most demanding palates.
