Simona Bartolini: With a background in the fashion industry in the United States, Simona Bartolini returned to Forte dei Marmi to pursue her career in luxury hospitality. She spent many years as Guest Relations Manager at the group’s sister property, Villa Roma Imperiale, where she developed outstanding guest-oriented skills and a deep understanding of luxury service. Known for her attention to detail, warmth, and ability to anticipate guests’ needs, she embodies the art of discreet, high-end hospitality that defines the brand.

Collezione Em It is a hotel group belonging to a Florentine family for over 30 years. The boutique group features hotels in Florence, Forte dei Marmi and Venice. A small collection of five unique hotels, deeply connected to the cultural and artistic heritage of the cities they are located in, offering « a sophisticated luxury for gentle souls »: very attentive but discreet service, individualized experiences, collectibles, art, simple food and that sense of intimacy typical of places you love. History & Story
Built in 1899 as a private villa and transformed into a seaside pensione in the 1920s, Pensione America became an emblem of Forte dei Marmi’s Dolce Vita, attracting artists and travelers in search of beauty and leisure. After two decades of silence, Collezione Em has brought it back to life with a sensitive restoration, reopening in April 2025 as an intimate adults-only retreat where heritage, craftsmanship, luxury and slow living meet.

Pensione America has undergone a meticulous restoration led by architect Piera Tempesti Benelli. The project, completed in April 2025, carefully preserved the villa’s historic charm while introducing bespoke Italian craftsmanship, from Sicilian ceramics by Nicolò Giuliano to hand–painted wallpapers by Elena Carozzi.
