The Hotel Santo Mauro invites our guests on a journey in Madrid in the 19th century, at the home of the influential Duke of Santo Mauro. With its French-influenced design and architecture, our 5-star, historic hotel in Madrid consists of three buildings set in a sophisticated private garden, with fountains and terraces shaded by ancient chestnut trees. The guest rooms are full of special details and historical references that immerse you in the past. Each public room is unique: The Red Room reflects pure French Classicism, while the oriental pieces in the Chinese Lounge recall the objects the Duke used to collect on his travels. The Wine Bar offers an extensive list of wines and small dishes, while the main restaurant, housed in the Duke’s former Library, offers a level of cuisine commensurate with its palatial setting. Music, fresh flowers, arts and crafts, and highly attentive service from the household staff round off the unique experience of staying in a palace.

The santo mauro is a xix century family palace, renovated in 2021, at the heart of madrid, in the chamberí neighborhood, near the design district (malasaña), the golden mile (salamanca district) with its fashion stores and high-end restaurants, and the ‘landscape of light’, recently granted unesco world heritage status. The hotel is located in the centre of Madrid near the Buen Retiro Park and is a stone’s throw from the Paseo Recoletos, the Salamanca neighbourhood, the Plaza de Colón, and the Sorolla and Prado museums.
