For over two decades, families have gathered here to celebrate life’s milestones, surrounded by the untouched beauty of the African bush. It is a place where the pace of life slows, and the simple act of being present with loved ones amidst the wilderness becomes a profound experience. Here, children, parents, grandparents, and friends reconnect, sharing in the joy and wonder of nature, and learning from the majestic elephants that roam this land. Serondella has evolved from our private family retreat into a world-class, intimate five-star safari lodge where guests from around the globe come to find peace and fulfilment in an African paradise.

Watching wildlife at home at the best waterhole in Thornybush is one of the greatest pleasures of spending time in nature.

Nestled within the vast expanse of the Greater Kruger National Park, our 5-star boutique lodge offers an intimate connection with the African wilderness.

At the foundation of a Serondella experience are our kids programs, which offer hands-on involvement and add inspiring educational opportunities in the bush.

• Track & Sign kids activity with the help of Guide and Tracker.
• List of flagship species in the Savanna biome, birds and mammals for kids to record when sighted
• Plaster Track Casting and collect it the following day to be given to the child.

• Story telling with guides and tracker experience in the bush.
• Arts & crafts (colouring, painting, etc.)
• Board games (we have a variety of board games at the lodge)
• Books (variety of educational books for kids of all ages)
• We do have a TV at the lodge if kids want to watch a movie
Babysitting is available at an additional cost if the parents want to go on drive without the kids.
