Since opening in 2013, the hotel has established itself among Switzerland’s leading luxury mountain resorts, combining exceptional hospitality, award-winning gastronomy, wellness and year-round Alpine experiences.

History & Story
Opened in December 2013, The Chedi Andermatt is located in the heart of the Swiss Alps at approximately 1,447 metres above sea level.
Designed by renowned architect Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston, the five-star deluxe hotel combines authentic Alpine materials such as warm wood and natural stone with the refined Asian-inspired aesthetic characteristic of The Chedi brand.
The hotel offers 120 spacious rooms starting at 55m2 and suites, award-winning restaurants and bars, and a 2,400-square-metre spa & health club.
Its culinary portfolio includes The Restaurant, The Japanese, The Japanese at Gütsch, The Bar & Living Room, alongside seasonal winter concepts.

Natural stone, warm woods, fireplaces, generous balconies and panoramic windows connect the interiors with the surrounding mountain landscape. The hotel’s distinctive design is complemented by highly personalised service, Michelin-starred gastronomy and one of Switzerland’s most impressive Alpine spa experiences.
Location
The Chedi Andermatt is situated in the Urseren Valley at the heart of the Swiss Alps, approximately 1,447 metres above sea level.
Andermatt is around 70 minutes by car from Zurich and approximately 45 minutes from Lucerne. Zurich can also be reached by train in around two hours.
Andermatt railway station is located within walking distance of the hotel and offers convenient connections throughout Switzerland, including services along the renowned Glacier Express route.
