Since its grand opening in early 2008, Rosewood Mayakoba beckons guests in search of the ultimate luxury escape. Inspired by Mayan traditions, this 620-acre resort enclave sits along a mile‐long arc of white Caribbean sand, nestled just north of the picturesque waterfront town of Playa del Carmen. Designed to blend harmony with natural landscapes, Rosewood Mayakoba is an oasis of luxury offering 129 suites with private plunge pools, garden showers, individual docks, and the finest modern design and details. The resort also offers multi-bedroom ultra-luxurious private residences for short term stays. For further peace of mind, the resort is built to abide by the highest of eco-standards, offering indulgence with awareness, and has received the Rainforest Alliance Certification.

Beginning May 20, 2019, Rosewood Mayakoba will undergo an exciting refurbishment of all 129 suites under the creative direction of Bando x Seidel Meersseman, a multi-disciplinary interior design firm dedicated to creating timeless modern interiors. This exceptional project will bring a new level of luxury to the resort, and will be done in several phases with a projected completion in early fall 2019. Due to the resort’s extensive layout and the private setting of each area, the phases will allow us to minimize any disruptions to our guests. Public areas, including all four pool decks, our beach services, Casa del Lago, Punta Bonita, Agave Azul, La Ceiba Garden & Kitchen, La Fondita, Aquí Me Quedo and Sense, A Rosewood Spa will be open and not affected by the suite enhancement project.

Rosewood Mayakoba built and funds Centro Educativo K’iin Beh, a school established in 2017 for the children of its employees and local youth, located 15 minutes from the luxury resort. Serving 200+ students the school offers bilingual, full-time education for children in elementary and middle school.
