Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Christos Gkekas holds a diploma in Mechanical Engineering. From an early age, he worked summers in the family hotel in Northern Greece. After gaining experience in 5-star luxury hotels on Mykonos and as a sales executive in luxury travel, Christos founded BlueVillas in 2011. Starting with just 12 villas in Santorini, the company quickly expanded, adding properties in Mykonos and beyond. Christos recognized that personalized, bespoke service is key in luxury hospitality, so he developed a dedicated, on-site concierge team for each location. With a passion for excellence, his authenticity and professionalism have solidified BlueVillas’ reputation, making it a key player in the luxury travel industry.

Our journey began in 2011 when Christos Gkekas, inspired by a vacation in Mykonos, envisioned a villa collection embodying Greece’s three blues: the cerulean pool, the deep sea blue, and the expansive sky. Starting with 12 villas, we now manage over 600 luxury properties across 20+ Greek destinations, including Mykonos, Santorini, and Crete. Each villa reflects our dedication to these three blues, offering private pools, sea views, and sky vistas. Properties that don’t meet these standards are not included.
