Silversea’s purpose-built luxury Silver Explorer expedition cruise ship has been designed for navigating waters in some of the world’s most remote destinations, including both of earth’s polar regions. A strengthened hull with a Lloyd’s Register ice-class notation (1A) for passenger vessels enables the Expedition Cruise Ship to safely push through ice floes with ease. A fleet of 12 Zodiac boats allows Silversea Expedition guests to visit the most off-the-beaten path locations and an expert Expedition Team provides insight and understanding to each unforgettable Silver Explorer luxury cruise adventure. The Restaurant, Silver Explorer’s main dining room, offers continental and regional specialties – unique to the voyage destination-, as well as sweeping ocean views.
The Grill features lava stone cooking at its finest, inviting guests to cook their food directly at their table. With the stone cooking available in the evenings only, The Grill becomes a daytime rotisserie and gourmet salad and burger bar, offering build your own burgers from the best selections of meat.
In the Observation library or Panorama Lounge, guests can enjoy exceptional views, in the Explorer Lounge they will hear fascinating tales of adventure or learn about the region’s endemic wildlife and nature and in the Connoisseur’s Corner they will appreciate an exceptional selection of good cognacs or premium cigars.

Antactica Bridge – The Fast Track To The Last Continent
We have transformed some of our superb Antarctica sailings into Antarctica Bridge, allowing travellers avoid the treacherous Drake Passage and arrive right in the heart of the South Shetland Isles. Your clients can board Silver Explorer directly from King George Island – the only airport in Antarctica that accepts commercial flights – and set sail for the destination that has been haunting their travel dreams for decades.
Their Antarctic adventure begins as soon as they arrive in Punta Arenas. Guests will enjoy meeting their fellow explorers during an evening briefing and welcome dinner before travelling the next day by private BAE146 aircraft in Business Class to King George Island, where they will board Silver Explorer for a life-changing voyage.
All Shore-Excursions are included in Silversea’s All-Inclusive offer. A team of expedition experts are onboard to accompany guests through dedicated, complementary expedition-activities.
