Originally conceived by iconic Dominican fashion designer Oscar de la Renta, Tortuga Bay Puntacana expresses his vision of relaxed sophistication through bright architecture, airy interiors and an enduring dialogue between the villas, gardens and sea. His design legacy remains the soul of the hotel and gives the property a character found nowhere else.
A thoughtful contemporary refresh
The hotel’s most recent interior refresh, led by designer Jorge Brown Cott, respectfully reinterprets Oscar de la Renta’s original aesthetic through a contemporary Caribbean lens. With minimal architectural intervention, the redesign enhances privacy, natural light and indoor-outdoor living while introducing a lighter palette, updated furnishings, natural materials and handcrafted Dominican details. The villas feel renewed without losing the warmth, elegance and sense of place that define Tortuga Bay Puntacana.
